# Installing the driver from an already-installed macOS

Some people like to bring their own EFI, or like the learning experience of actually making their own EFI rather than use a tool. Which is okay, lots prefer this step. Or, you've had a macOS install sitting in the dust, and you want to finally experience the eye-opening, seizure inducing introduction (photosensitivity warning!!) into the macOS world.

To start we'll want to grab ourselves a copy of the driver, which is either in the 1401 Mac app, or installed manually. Both will be covered.
