Ran the 1401 Probe on your PC? Upload both files it saved in the stick’s REPORTS folder, the .zip and the .txt. Log files (.log) are welcome too. Every report shows us exactly what your hardware needs, so it gets supported before release. Don’t have it yet? Get the Probe and the how-to, or grab it from GitHub.

    What’s in a report

    In it

    • Model names and IDs of your CPU, board, graphics, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, sound and USB
    • Firmware tables (ACPI) and BIOS/UEFI settings that matter for booting
    • The Linux kernel log from the scan itself

    Never in it

    • Serial numbers, UUIDs, MAC addresses or your Windows key
    • Anything from your drives: no files, no documents, no Windows
    • Anything from the internet: the scanner has no network at all

Open the .zip before you send it. Everything in it is plain text or raw firmware dumps.
